what FDOTR is listening to

I been always a die hard fan of Garbage but started losing hope with their last 2 albums. Garbage just released "Not your kind of people" and had a recent show at Webster Hall. Bringing back the 90's nostalgia of when bands were good, Garbage delivered a stellar comeback record.
Emily Haines and company returned with "Synthetica" after many years waiting for a new Metric album, they delivered a strong effort that solidifies Emily as a great lyricist and Metric as a great band.
The legend of Fiona Apple is still guarded with her fourth album. There is a reason why she takes forever to record an album and the results are on the songs, the lyrics. "Left alone" is far better than any Adele track put together. "Hot Knife" is probably the first time I see a playful Fiona Apple since "Fast as you can" There are plenty of great tracks that automatically makes this album with the 23 words be an instant classic.
Jack White returned with Blunderbuss, his solo effort. Away from White stripes and his previous bands. Jack delivered a great album. "Love interrupted" "Sixteen saltines" are amazing songs,
I don't get with new rappers just cause I like to stay with the familiar but FDOTR was invited to Big K.R.I.T's listening party here at Fight Klub in New York and liked what I heard.
Not in a million years would I think I be listening to an Usher album but "Looking 4 myself" might probably be Usher's best. "climax" "scream" are good stand out tracks. There is a reason why James Brown and Michael Jackson passed him the torch. Usher is the real deal.
