Kreayshawn's debut album "somethin bout Kreay" released yesterday. Kreayshawn hit it big with
""Gucci Gucci" making it a big hit on every social media site and getting major attention by regular media
such as MTv. Also starting a feud with Rick Ross got Kreayshawn publicity. 2Stacks a DJ out of
Staten Island, NY produced Kraey's big hit so to hear this album as a whole, waiting to see
if Kreay can deliver more than Gucci Gucci, I have to say yes because the album is not the best
thing since slice bread but it does make Kreayshawn stand out.
"Go Hard (la La La)" was the first single out and it is a catchy song that all radio stations
should be eating hard. It reminds me of a watered down version of when Eminem came out with
""Hi my name is (slim shady)" Kreay with this song hits the angsty teenage girl to swipe their
step dad's wallet and joyride to the mall. "Blase Blase" has got to be one of the few stand out
tracks in this album. Kraey goes hard and has a great wordplay in the same vein of "Gucci Gucci"
"Chook Chook Tare" the beat is so hypnotizing, "Summertime" is a very laid back track that I am surprised
to hear in this album. "she is a sweetie and she is looking great in her bikini" is catchy.
How did Kreayshawn outshined Kid Cudi? she ran circles on him on "Like it or Love it"
"K234ys0nixz" has a 90's feel, although it samples "supersonic" but Kraey brings it so well that she works the
track and makes it a great stand out in the album.
"L3ft 3y3" is her "you oughta know" and every other female rage song towards a cheating male. "I should car
but rather slap your mom cause only a bitch can give birth to a fucking dog" Kraeyshawn mentions
Left eye from TLC when she burned her boyfriend's house to the ground.
"BFF" is her down to earth, gentler kraeyshawn but then "Twerkin" comes on and takes the album to higher levels
another stand out track that could easily be heard at every strip club, club, car, etc. Kraey and Diplo are
amazing together.
When she disrepected Rick Ross few months ago, it was great cause no one should respect a talentless hack like Rick Ross
not saying that Kraeyshawn is talented but at least she knew how weak he is, and she should get respect for going
at that guy. With that said "The Ruler" is a great nod to Slick Rick and specially in a generation that don't
give respect or acknowledge hip hop's past, is great to hear Kraeyshawn acknowledging one of the best lyricist
in hip hop period.
Kreay hefner on "Breakfast (syrup)" I love the production on this song, 2 chainz goes in on this song. "Luv Haus"
is another detour that Kreayshawn goes in her debut album, is a good turn. The track sounds like an 80s track with
a modern twist.
"Something bout Kraey" is a good debut. reminiscent of Eminem when he started, now if Kreayshawn continues
to better her lyrics, keeps having a good ear on production and market herself as she has been doing. Kreayshawn can
be a good contender in the hip hop scene.
